About this fair

The China International Import Expo 2026 will be held in Shanghai from 5 to 10 November and is a national-level exhibition focused on imports into China. Its commercial purpose differs from a conventional fair for sourcing export factories: it is strategically useful for companies seeking to sell into China, identify major brands and distributors, or understand priority sectors in the Chinese market. The business exhibition exceeds 360,000 m² and is officially divided into food and agriculture, automotive, intelligent industry and information technology, consumer goods, medical equipment and healthcare, and trade in services.

Most in-demand products

Food and agricultural products, automotive, intelligent industry and IT, consumer goods, medical equipment and healthcare, and business services.

Sources and verification

Is this trade fair worth visiting?

✓ Yes

Yes, especially if you source Food & Beverages, Automotive, Consumer & Home Goods, Electronics & Appliances, Pharmaceuticals & Health, want to compare samples in person or negotiate with several manufacturers in a few days.

— Not necessarily

Probably not if your product belongs to a different sector than Food & Beverages, Automotive, Consumer & Home Goods, Electronics & Appliances, Pharmaceuticals & Health, you already have verified suppliers and only need repeat orders, or the potential volume does not justify the trip.

Tips for visitors

Do not confuse it with a fair mainly aimed at buying from Chinese manufacturers: its focus is importing into the Chinese market. It is more valuable for studying demand, partners, distribution and the positioning of foreign products in China.

Getting around

Shanghai has one of the world's largest metro networks. SNIEC is mainly served via Longyang Road/Huamu Road and NECC via East Xujing/National Exhibition and Convention Center, depending on the entrance. The Maglev links Pudong Airport with Longyang Road in about eight minutes; continue from there by metro or taxi.
On local networks in mainland China, some international services may be restricted or unavailable. If you rely on them for work, prepare a connectivity solution that complies with current rules before travelling and do not depend on a single app. Hong Kong operates under a different internet regime.
