About this fair

CIOF 2026 is officially held from 7 to 9 September 2026 at the China International Exhibition Centre in Beijing (Chaoyang). It brings together the professional optics and eyewear supply chain, including frames, lenses, sunglasses, contact lenses, materials, components, optometric instruments, machinery and manufacturing equipment. For buyers and distributors, the show is useful for comparing design, finishes, OEM suppliers and optical-laboratory solutions in one place. In categories with a health function or direct user contact, buyers should validate destination-market regulatory, documentary and technical requirements before approving a supplier.

Most in-demand products

Frames, ophthalmic lenses, sunglasses, contact lenses, accessories, materials, optometric instruments, machinery and optical-lab equipment.

Sources and verification

Is this trade fair worth visiting?

✓ Yes

Yes, especially if you source Consumer & Home Goods, Pharmaceuticals & Health, want to compare samples in person or negotiate with several manufacturers in a few days.

— Not necessarily

Probably not if your product belongs to a different sector than Consumer & Home Goods, Pharmaceuticals & Health, you already have verified suppliers and only need repeat orders, or the potential volume does not justify the trip.

Tips for visitors

Clearly distinguish fashion products, optical devices and professional equipment. Request the certificates and tests required for the exact category, material specifications and traceability for critical lenses or components.

Getting around

Beijing's metro is extensive and cheap, though the major fair venues (NCIEC in Shunyi) are somewhat far from downtown: allow 45-60 minutes by taxi from the center.
On local networks in mainland China, some international services may be restricted or unavailable. If you rely on them for work, prepare a connectivity solution that complies with current rules before travelling and do not depend on a single app. Hong Kong operates under a different internet regime.
