About this fair

Yarn Expo Autumn 2026 brings together fibre and yarn suppliers in Shanghai for fashion, knitwear, woven fabrics and technical applications. The organiser confirms the show for 25–27 August at the National Exhibition and Convention Center, during a textile week that allows visitors to combine it with other specialised fairs. For an international buyer it is useful for comparing composition, evenness, twist, yarn counts, blends, dyeing, certifications and actual production capacity before requesting samples. It also provides access to producers of functional fibres, recycled materials and traceability solutions. The fair is best used as a first filter, followed by audits or factory visits for shortlisted suppliers.

Most in-demand products

Natural and man-made fibres, cotton, wool and blended yarns, filaments, functional and recycled yarns, technical fibres, testing services and textile traceability solutions.

Sources and verification

Is this trade fair worth visiting?

✓ Yes

Yes, especially if you source Textiles & Fashion, want to compare samples in person or negotiate with several manufacturers in a few days.

— Not necessarily

Probably not if your product belongs to a different sector than Textiles & Fashion, you already have verified suppliers and only need repeat orders, or the potential volume does not justify the trip.

Tips for visitors

Request technical data sheets, count and colour tolerances, applicable certificates, MOQ per colour and lot, repeat lead times and samples from the same production batch. For recycled materials or sustainability claims, validate the documentary chain before using those claims commercially.

Getting around

Shanghai has one of the world's largest metro networks. SNIEC is mainly served via Longyang Road/Huamu Road and NECC via East Xujing/National Exhibition and Convention Center, depending on the entrance. The Maglev links Pudong Airport with Longyang Road in about eight minutes; continue from there by metro or taxi.
On local networks in mainland China, some international services may be restricted or unavailable. If you rely on them for work, prepare a connectivity solution that complies with current rules before travelling and do not depend on a single app. Hong Kong operates under a different internet regime.
