About this fair

The Spring 2027 edition of China’s largest trade fair brings together more than 30,000 exhibitors across three sector-based phases. The 141st edition is expected to attract more than 310,000 international buyers and host over 110 conferences and forums.

Most in-demand products

Phase 1 (15–19 Apr): electronics, lighting, machinery and hardware. Phase 2 (23–27 Apr): homeware, gifts and ceramics. Phase 3 (1–5 May): textiles, fashion, footwear and health products.

Sources and verification

Is this trade fair worth visiting?

✓ Yes

Yes, especially if you source Consumer & Home Goods, Electronics & Appliances, Textiles & Fashion, want to compare samples in person or negotiate with several manufacturers in a few days.

— Not necessarily

Probably not if your product belongs to a different sector than Consumer & Home Goods, Electronics & Appliances, Textiles & Fashion, you already have verified suppliers and only need repeat orders, or the potential volume does not justify the trip.

Tips for visitors

The 141st edition keeps the same three-phase format as previous editions. Apply for your buyer accreditation online in advance through the official portal; it is free of charge.

Registration & entry

The Buyer Badge is free when requested online through the fair's official system using your passport and company details. Once approved, you receive confirmation and, if you need a visa, the invitation letter can be generated from the same system.
Collect the physical badge at the venue by showing your confirmation and passport. Some partner hotels can also print it at reception, which can save queues on the first day. A replacement for a lost badge costs RMB 200, and the badge remains valid for future editions, so keep it.
Opening hours: 09:30–18:00 every day of each phase.
Visa: Spain and Portugal currently benefit from China's visa-free policy for short stays, but conditions can change frequently — check the rules in force before buying flights.

How to get there

Metro — the most reliable option at peak times: Line 8, Xingangdong station for Area A and Pazhou station for Areas B and C.
From Guangzhou Baiyun Airport (CAN): about 45–60 minutes by taxi or DiDi; by metro, take Line 3 and change to Line 8.
By high-speed rail: arrive at Guangzhou South Railway Station and continue by metro (around 40 minutes) or taxi.
From Hong Kong: take high-speed rail to Guangzhou or, during fair periods, the direct ferry from Hong Kong International Airport to Pazhou Ferry Terminal.

Where to stay near the fair

The Westin Pazhou · Inside the complex (Area C)

The only hotel with direct access to the exhibition halls. Consistently excellent ratings from buyers; it sells out months before each phase.

Langham Place Guangzhou · Opposite the complex, next to Xingangdong metro

About a two-minute walk from the Area A entrance, with some of the best ratings in Pazhou and a rooftop that is useful for informal buyer meetings after the show.

Shangri-La Guangzhou · Adjacent to the complex (Area A side)

Classic luxury with gardens and pool, free fair shuttle and restaurants recognised by the Michelin Guide.

Courtyard by Marriott Guangzhou Pazhou · Pazhou, a few minutes from the complex

One of the best-rated mid-range options with convenient access to the exhibition centre; a strong balance of price and convenience during fair dates.

💡 Tip · Book 2–3 months ahead

Hotel prices rise sharply during the Canton Fair and the best options disappear quickly. On a tighter budget, look along Metro Line 8 or in Zhujiang New Town — and when booking on Trip.com, our code TLSX3O helps us keep this directory free.

Frequently asked questions

When is the Spring 2027 Canton Fair?

The 141st edition runs from 15 April to 5 May 2027 at the Canton Fair Complex in Pazhou, Guangzhou, in three phases: 15–19 April (electronics, machinery, lighting), 23–27 April (home, gifts, ceramics) and 1–5 May (textiles, fashion, footwear, health). Opening hours are 09:30–18:00.

How do I register?

Go to the official portal (cantonfair.org.cn), create a buyer account with your passport and company details, and apply for accreditation. The Buyer Badge is free with advance online registration; on-site registration costs RMB 200. The official invitation letter, if needed for a visa, is generated in the same system.

Which phase should I attend for my product?

Phase 1: electronics, appliances, machinery, lighting and vehicles. Phase 2: homeware, gifts, decoration, ceramics and furniture. Phase 3: textiles, fashion, footwear, toys, baby products, stationery, health products and food.

How is it different from the Autumn edition?

The sectors and venue are the same. The Autumn edition (140th) generally attracts heavier international attendance; Spring is usually slightly less crowded and is well timed for placing orders with enough production lead time before the European summer.

Do I need a visa from Spain or Portugal?

Both countries currently benefit from China's visa-free policy for short stays, but conditions can change. Check the rules in force before booking. If you do need a visa, the invitation letter can be obtained through the fair registration system.

Where is the best place to stay?

The Westin Pazhou is inside the complex; Langham Place and Shangri-La are both within a very short walk. Book 2–3 months ahead because rates rise sharply during fair dates and the best rooms sell out.

Getting around

Guangzhou's metro is extensive and goes straight to the Pazhou fair venue (Line 8, Pazhou station). Taxis are cheap but few drivers speak English: use DiDi with the address in Chinese.
On local networks in mainland China, some international services may be restricted or unavailable. If you rely on them for work, prepare a connectivity solution that complies with current rules before travelling and do not depend on a single app. Hong Kong operates under a different internet regime.
