About this fair
Nanning's big annual fair, co-sponsored by the Chinese government and the ten ASEAN countries: the go-to event if you're looking for Southeast Asian suppliers or want to enter that market from China. Its previous edition (2025) brought together over 3,200 companies from 45 countries across 160,000 m² of exhibition space.
Most in-demand products
High-end consumer goods, agricultural products, industrial products, technology and investment, with a strong presence of suppliers from ASEAN countries.
Sources and verification
Is this trade fair worth visiting?
✓ Yes
Yes, especially if you source Consumer & Home Goods, want to compare samples in person or negotiate with several manufacturers in a few days.
— Not necessarily
Probably not if your product belongs to a different sector than Consumer & Home Goods, you already have verified suppliers and only need repeat orders, or the potential volume does not justify the trip.
Tips for visitors
Unlike most fairs in this directory, the focus here isn't only "buying from China": it's the best gateway to compare Chinese suppliers with Southeast Asian suppliers (Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia...) on the same trip.
Registration & entry
Visitor registration is done online on the organiser's official website (caexpo.org). This is an event with a strong institutional component — it is sponsored by the governments of China and the ASEAN countries — so check in with your passport and business card and allow extra time for opening-day access controls.
The 23rd edition debuts the CAFTA 3.0 free-trade framework and an AI matchmaking system ('AI CAEXPO') to pair buyers with exhibitors.
Visa: check the visa policy in force for your nationality before booking flights — short-stay exemptions cover many countries but conditions change frequently.
How to get there
Metro: the Convention & Exhibition Center station is a short walk from the venue — the most convenient way in on fair days.
From Wuxu Airport (NNG): about 40 minutes by taxi or DiDi.
By high-speed rail: Nanning East is about 7 km from the venue; from Guangzhou South it takes around 3-4 hours, so it combines well with a Pearl River Delta trip.
Where to stay near the fair
Right by the Convention & Exhibition Center metro station, with highly rated service: the obvious choice for the fair.
Concentrates hotels of every range around the convention centre, with direct metro; prices climb during CAEXPO — book early.

Frequently asked questions
When is CAEXPO 2026?
The 23rd edition runs September 17–21, 2026 at the Nanning International Convention & Exhibition Center. It is the annual flagship of China–Southeast Asia trade, sponsored by the governments of both sides.
Is it relevant for European importers?
Let's be honest: for general consumer goods, your fair is the Canton Fair. CAEXPO shines if you're interested in ASEAN products (agri-food, coffee, fruit, Southeast Asian crafts), Chinese machinery aimed at emerging markets, or understanding China-ASEAN supply chains under the new CAFTA 3.0.
What is exhibited?
High-end consumer goods, agri-food, industrial products and technology, with country pavilions for each ASEAN member and dedicated zones for the digital, green and new-energy economies. The 23rd edition also debuts the organiser's AI matchmaking.
How do I get there?
Metro to Convention & Exhibition Center station, a short walk from the venue; Wuxu Airport is about 40 minutes away and high-speed rail connects with Guangzhou South in around 3-4 hours.
Where should I stay?
The Howard Johnson CAEXPO Plaza 500 metres from the venue, or any hotel in the Langdong / Convention Center area with direct metro. Book weeks ahead for fair dates.

Getting around
Nanning Wuxu International Airport (NNG) is 30-35 km from downtown (40-50 min by car) and has flights to over 40 Chinese cities plus international routes to Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok, Jakarta, Ho Chi Minh City, Phnom Penh, Yangon, Vientiane and Seoul — very handy if your trip combines China with Southeast Asia. There are shuttle buses to downtown (~20 CNY) or taxis (~100 CNY). The city has two train stations (Nanning and Nanning East, the latter high-speed) and a 4-line metro: Line 1 directly connects the high-speed station, downtown and the China-ASEAN Expo venue itself.
On local networks in mainland China, some international services may be restricted or unavailable. If you rely on them for work, prepare a connectivity solution that complies with current rules before travelling and do not depend on a single app. Hong Kong operates under a different internet regime.
