Tianjin

Tianjin · 天津

Tianjin is one of northern China’s major ports and industrial centres, closely connected with Beijing. It is strong in automotive, aerospace, intelligent equipment, materials, biomedicine and port logistics, while the National Convention and Exhibition Center (Tianjin) has strengthened its role as a trade-fair city.

Getting around

The National Convention and Exhibition Center (Tianjin) has direct Metro Line 1 access at National Convention and Exhibition Center Station. From Tianjin Binhai International Airport, a taxi takes roughly 45–50 minutes depending on traffic; metro routes require transfers and can take more than an hour. From Beijing South, intercity high-speed rail reaches Tianjin stations in about 35 minutes, plus the local transfer to the venue.
On local networks in mainland China, some international services may be restricted or unavailable. If you rely on them for work, prepare a connectivity solution that complies with current rules before travelling and do not depend on a single app. Hong Kong operates under a different internet regime.

Practical buyer information

💶 Indicative daily budget

€55-105/day as a reference for a mid-range hotel, meals and urban transport; major congress dates can push rates higher.

⚠️ What buyers should watch for

Tianjin is spread out: meetings may be in the centre, Jinnan, Binhai or industrial zones near the port. Choose your hotel around the venue or factories you will visit rather than simply booking “downtown”.
