Intertextile Shanghai Apparel Fabrics — Autumn Edition
📍 Shanghai, Shanghai — National Exhibition and Convention Center (NECC), Shanghai
📅 25 Aug 2026 – 27 Aug 2026
Updated on 5 Jul 2026
About this fair
One of Asia's largest textile fairs, focused on technical fabrics, sustainable textiles and seasonal trends for the fashion industry.
Most in-demand products
Technical and functional fabrics, sustainable textiles, apparel accessories, home textiles.
Tips for visitors
It's held alongside Yarn Expo, CHIC and PH Value at the same venue: use the trip to cover the entire textile chain.
Registration & entry
Professional visitor registration is done online on the Messe Frankfurt (organiser) website before you travel; the fair is strictly B2B, so check in with your passport and business card.
It runs alongside Yarn Expo (yarns) at the same venue and dates — one trip registration, two complementary fairs. And the previous week (August 18–20), the same NECC hosts Intertextile Home Textiles: if your product is home textiles, chain both.
Visa: check the visa policy in force for your nationality before booking flights — short-stay exemptions cover many countries but conditions change frequently.
How to get there
The NECC is the world's largest single-building exhibition venue, located in Hongqiao, Shanghai's western hub: Metro Line 2, East Xujing station, right beside the venue.
From Hongqiao Airport (SHA) and Hongqiao high-speed rail station you are about 10 minutes away; from Pudong (PVG), allow over an hour by road or the full Line 2.
Distances inside are enormous (9 halls for this fair): plan by hall and wear comfortable shoes.
Where to stay near the fair
The only hotel with direct access to the halls (second-floor entrance): the zero-transfer option, with indoor pool and four restaurants.
Huge rooms and value for money that make it fair visitors' favourite.
Minutes from the NECC and a stroll from the Hongqiao hub: ideal if you combine the fair with high-speed trains to other cities.
Serious heat and humidity: book close to the venue and avoid long transfers. Booking on Trip.com with our code TLSX3O helps us keep this directory free.
Frequently asked questions
When is Intertextile Shanghai (Autumn) 2026?
August 25–27, 2026 at Shanghai's NECC, alongside Yarn Expo. The previous week (August 18–20) the same venue hosts Intertextile Home Textiles, and there is also a spring edition in March.
Who is this fair for?
It is THE Asian fair for apparel fabrics and trims: 3,700+ exhibitors across 9 halls with ladieswear, functional and sportswear, shirtings, denim, swimwear and lingerie, childrenswear and accessories. If you manufacture your own brand, this is where next season's fabrics are chosen.
Fabric fair or clothing fair?
Intertextile sells FABRIC and trims, not finished garments. For finished clothing, your circuit is the markets (Humen in Dongguan, Shisanhang in Guangzhou) or Phase 3 of the Canton Fair.
How do I get there?
Metro Line 2 to East Xujing, right by the NECC; Hongqiao Airport and the high-speed rail station are about 10 minutes away.
Where should I stay?
The InterContinental inside the complex itself or The QUBE 500 metres away; book early — August packs several fairs into the NECC.

Getting around
Shanghai has the world's longest metro network; almost every fair venue (SNIEC, NECC) has its own station. The Maglev train connects Pudong Airport to the city in 8 minutes.
In mainland China, Google, Gmail, WhatsApp and Instagram aren't accessible without a VPN arranged before you travel (it can't be installed once you've arrived). Hong Kong doesn't have this restriction.
