Mind the venue: the Yiwu Fair takes place at the Yiwu International Expo Center — not inside the Futian Market — although almost every buyer combines fair and market in the same trip.
Visa: check the visa policy in force for your nationality before booking — short-stay exemptions cover many countries but conditions change frequently.
How to get there
By high-speed rail: Yiwu sits on the Shanghai–Kunming line — 30-40 minutes from Hangzhou East and about an hour and a half from Shanghai Hongqiao. From the station, 15-20 minutes by taxi or DiDi to the Expo Center or the Futian Market.
By air: Yiwu Airport (YIW) handles domestic flights; the usual alternative is flying into Hangzhou or Shanghai and continuing by train.
In the city: taxis and DiDi are cheap, and the BRT connects downtown with the Futian Market.

The best-rated hotel in the city, connected to the Glory Mall; the veteran buyers' favourite.

When is the 2026 Yiwu Fair?
From October 21 to 25, 2026 at the Yiwu International Expo Center. It slots in perfectly after Phase 2 of the Canton Fair: many buyers do Canton → Yiwu in the same trip.
Fair or Futian Market?
They are complementary: the fair concentrates manufacturers with new products for five days; the Futian Market is open all year with 75,000+ booths. If you travel on fair dates, do both.
What do you buy in Yiwu?
Small commodities at low MOQs: gifts, costume jewellery, toys, stationery, homeware, Christmas decorations, accessories… Ideal for stocking broad catalogues or testing products without big volumes.
How do I get there from the Canton Fair?
By high-speed rail from Guangzhou South to Yiwu (around 6-7 hours, several daily departures) or by flying to Hangzhou or Shanghai and taking a short train.

Getting around
The city is small and manageable: taxis and DiDi are cheap and fast. The market (Yiwu International Trade Market) is divided into 5 numbered districts, each so large that it's worth planning which district to visit each day.
