Dongguan · 东莞
Dongguan is one of the world's largest manufacturing hubs, known as "the factory of the planet": electronics, toys and, above all, furniture, with its own international fair. It combines vast industrial parks with the Songshan Lake tech park.

Wholesale markets in Dongguan
📍 No. 24 Yinlong Road, Humen
The great classic since 1992: over 1,400 units that are really the sales offices of local factories — Humen concentrates thousands of garment workshops. Mid-range with lightning-fast restocking.
📍 Yinlong Road at Humen Avenue (the Huanghe Tower is the landmark)
Next to Fumin; between the two stretches Humen's childrenswear belt, from babywear to maternity.
📍 Around Yinlong Road, Humen
Smaller than Zhongda (Guangzhou) at similar prices, but getting samples and swatches is far easier. Approximate hours: 8:30–18:00.
📍 Houjie township, next to Humen
The 'world footwear headquarters': factories and wholesalers with the full chain — and home to the International Famous Furniture Fair.
📍 Dalang township
China's hub for sweaters and knits.
📍 Dongguan's markets are spread across townships far from each other: stay in Humen if you're after clothing and plan your hops with DiDi.

Getting around
DiDi is the most practical way to get between industrial parks and the Houjie fair venue. Dongguan is 30-40 minutes by high-speed rail from Guangzhou and Shenzhen, so it combines easily with other fairs in the region on the same trip.
In mainland China, Google, Gmail, WhatsApp and Instagram aren't accessible without a VPN arranged before you travel (it can't be installed once you've arrived). Hong Kong doesn't have this restriction.
